Aging in place is the ability to live in your own home and community safely, independently and comfortably regardless of age, ability or level of income.  It also means the pleasure of living in a familiar environment throughout one’s maturing years, and the ability to enjoy familiar daily routines and special events which enrich all of our lives and makes us happy.   Aging  in place means being able to call your house a home for the rest of your life.  According to CARP, older homeowners overwhelmingly prefer to continue living in their home as they age.  For many seniors, aging in place allows them to maintain their independence, autonomy and a continued connection to the social support which includes friends and family.
